The Federal Skilled Trades program is for skilled workers who want to become permanent residents based on being qualified in a skilled trade. 

 

Who Can Apply?

  • Applicant age 18 and above
  • Candidates who have recent Canadian work experience.

 

Program Advantages: 

  • One of the fastest pathways to Canadian permanent residence, taking as little as 6 months to process. 
  • No education requirement. 
  • Spouse and dependent children can be included in the application.

 

Applicants Requirements:

  • Must have at least 2 year of skilled trade work experience in the last 5 years before applying.
  • Must have gained work experience after being granted the certification to practice the trade in their country of residence. 
  • Must have a valid job offer of full time employment for a total period of at least 1 year or a certificate of qualification in that skilled trade issued by a Canadian provincial, territorial or federal authority. 
  • Language at Canadian Language Benchmark (CLB) level 5 for speaking and listening, and CLB level 4 for reading and writing. 
  • Must have enough money to support yourself and your dependent family members when you settle in Canada. 
  • Must intend to live outside of the province of Quebec.

Application Processes:

  1. Contact Altec Global for initial consultation. 
  2. Altec Global conducts the assessment to determine your eligibility. 
  3. If eligible, sign the service agreement with Altec Global.
  4. Getting the required documents ready.
  5. Submitting your Express Entry profile. 
  6. Receiving Invitation to Apply. 
  7. Submitting the whole family’s federal immigration applications. 
  8. Receiving approval on your applications.
  9. Arriving in Canada.

 

Federal Skilled Trades  program is managed under the Express Entry system which uses the Comprehensive Ranking System (CRS) to rank interested candidates. Applicants who have competitive CRS scores will receive Invitations to Apply for Canadian permanent residence.
